Parking Surveyors in London (Lewisham)

We are carrying out a parking survey in Lewisham in the first half of May. We need around five people to supplement our team.

Type of work

The work involves walking along each road in the borough and recording the details of parked vehicles during different times of the day and on different days of the week.  We will walk each section of road during the mornings, afternoons and evenings (both weekday and weekends)  as well as overnight.

The key survey dates are as follows:

  • Tuesday 9th May,
  • Wednesday 10th May and
  • Saturday 13th May

The shifts are 8am to 11am, 1:30pm to 4:30 pm, 6:30pm-9:30pm and midnight to 3am.

Type of person

You need to be fit, and have some good shoes, as you should expect to walk between 5km and 10km every shift. You must be able to read a map to get around. You will be using a tablet to enter the data.

This type of work tends to suit students, recent graduates, retired or self employed people. You must also be willing to be trained and monitored.

Pay and Conditions

Employment is on a casual basis. We will provide training and all equipment required. We will also pay local travel expenses. You are paid for three hours a shift. The hourly rate is £12.75 or £16.75 (overnight shift).

This payment includes holiday pay. For incompleted shifts, payment will be on an hourly basis. We pay staff by BACS transfer every two weeks (12th May, 26th May) for work conducted within the period.
